A current winter favourite, these Hawaiians are high in antioxidants sweet potato have a naturally creamy flavour and texture. It holds well for salads, but are also fantastic baked, boiled, fried, roasted or even microwaved.

Not as sweet as its orange cousin, these purple sweet potatoes are great in cooking Malaysian desserts like ang ku kuih, rice balls, and layered cakes. Pacific Islanders also serve these freshly baked with coconut milk.
